Like others, I’m shocked and appalled by some of the design choices in Mountain Lion.
Apple probably has the highest bar to meet in product design. We really do expect better, especially on these little details.
And while we pause for a little designthink, here’s an interesting article advocating flatness, honesty, and simplicity in web design.
Not sure I agree with this yet. Just because it’s simple does not mean it’s designed well.
PS – Guess who’s getting on the flat design train. And how gorgeous is that start screen. I want one.
Woke up at 5am. Wide awake, itching to learn something. Time to focus on LESS which I’ve been avoiding after a few weeks of hardcore deadlines.
Codekit installation and coffee. Mmmm, that should lessen the learning curve. Codekit.com is brilliantly executed, mainly because the software is just so damned good…an inspiration even. Training videos are helping. The price is right. So far so good.
The big debate: Are the benefits of Codekit worth it? Does Coda have a LESS plugin somewhere. A few days of experimenting should bring a follow-up answer and a new Config page.
